1. Differentiate between :

(a) Memo and Varchar data type

(b) Number and Decimal data type

(c) Design View and Datasheet view of a table

Ans: (a) Memo and Varchar data type : Memo is used to store data into the maximum length indicated by user. It is used to store descriptive data having more than 255 characters.
Whereas Varchar data type stores data upto the specified length. It refers to a data type
of a field in a table which can store both letters and numbers.

Ans: (b) Number and Decimal data type : Number data type stores numbers in a table. The numbers can be integer or real numbers on which any type of arithmetic calculations can be performed.
Whereas Decimal data type is used to store numbers with decimal points

Ans: (c) Design View and Datasheet view of a table : Design view is used to specify the field names and their data types in a table whereas Datasheet view is used to enter values for the field names in a table

2. Name the menu items present on the Base User Interface.

4. How can we define a primary key in a table ?

Ans : A primary key is a field or an attribute which uniquely identifies every record in a table. The value of

Ans: Ans : To sort the table in descending order of primary key we have to follow the steps given
below
i. Step 1: select the primary key field.
Ii. Step 2 : From the toolbar, click Sort descending icon.
iii. Step 3 : The table will be sorted in descending order of primary key

6. What is the use of navigation box with respect to tables in a database ?

Ans : The navigation box is used to navigate through the records of a table in a database.
