  1. What is a Macro ? List any two real life situations where they can be used.

Ans: A Macro is a single instruction that executes a set of instructions. These set of instructions can be a sequence of commands or keystrokes that can be used for any number of times.

Two real life situations where Macro can be useful are –

i. When all the teachers of a school or a college need to set the question paper for the school or the college having the same format. In that case Macro can be useful.

ii. When an Institute provides certificates to the students, the certificates should have the same format. In that case also Macro can be useful.

2. List the actions that are not recorded by a Macro.

Ans: The actions that are not recorded by a Macro are-

i. Opening of windows.

ii. Actions carried out in another window than where the recording was started.

iii. Window switching.

iv. Actions that are not related to the spreadsheet contents.

3. How is LibreOffice Macros Library different from My Macros ?

Ans: LibreOffice Macros Library is different from My Macros in the following ways-

i. LibreOffice Macros Library is an inbuilt library provided by LibreOffice whereas My Macros is a user defined library.

ii. LibreOffice Macros Library contains modules with pre recorded macros whereas My Macros contain macros that we write or add to LibreOffice.

4. Differentiate between Predefined function in Calc and Macros as a function .

Ans: Predefined function in Calc is different from Macros as a function in the following ways-

i. Predefined function in Calc is an inbuilt function whereas Macros as a function is a user defined function.

ii. ii. Predefined function in Calc can not be customized whereas Macros as a function can be customized.

5. List the rules that should be kept in mind while naming a Macro .
